SEVEN YEARS AGO TODAY !

Seven years ago today, February 17,2001 I had my five organ transplant. It has been a wonderful day having Jessica and Bryan here with us. Thanks to my kids for a little Transplant celebration. Jenna made a browie desert and the girls put candles on it. Very sweet thing to do. After blowing out the candles and while I was eating my ice cream reality began to sink in for me.

It has been very difficult to make it this long and when I think of all the hospital visits, doctor visits, and lab tests. WOW it has taken alot of work and effort to get this far. Some pretty close calls and some not so fun days. Was it all worth it? Any day I can spend with my family and see my girls accomplish one more milestone or write Jason on his mission is a day well spent.

It's worth it without question.

Each time I think about that miraclous day I can't help but be reminded of a 15 year old boy who lost his life on the same day. It puts things into perspective quickly. I often think of this family and their loss. I truly hope I'm worthy enough to meet him one day. I'm sure his family often wonders and hopes a part of their son is well cared for.

My family would all agree, I'm sure, life can change in a moment. We have been blessed so much in the past seven years. The simple fact that I'm here and can be a part of my childrens lives is a blessing I don't take for granted. They are the strength that keeps me going.

Seven Years ago today! It just doesn't seem possible ... wow ! where did seven years go?

To all my family and friends, thank you so much for you prayers and support I couldn't have done it without you .

One Way To Beat Shoveling Snow!

After a sizable snow storm Tammi's brother Tony made his rounds with Matt's backhoe. I must say it does take the bite out of snow shoveling. One pass with this thing and its all over. Thank you Tony!
Kids have enjoyed several days off from the recent snow storms we've had. Three days of the last four school days were called off due to the high winds and snow fall. Wind in excess of 51 miles per hour caused snow drifts as high as 3 - 4 feet in my drive way. As for the kids it couldn't of come at a better time so they could get an early Feb. break something they never get. Our Spring break isn't until March so a few snow days breaks up the long school calendar from Jan to Mar. Everyone is super busy with Games to cheer at and dance performances to go to. Jayme has been enjoying piano lessons. I think it's great for her to learn how to play that thing...besides its Tammi's way of keeping the piano around otherwise I might have gotten rid of it.
We all are excited to hear what Jessica is going to have. that will be coming up soon. Most everyone here thinks a boy except Jayme she is holding our for a girl.
Jason is doing well. At least he tells us he is. I continually remind him to work hard and obey the rules. He writes back and lectures me once in a while about if we're doing all the things we're suppose to be doing. That kind of lecture I don't mind. Keep up the good work son!

February is Here With a Bang!

Jenna, Jordan and Jayme on a stormy day. School was canceled and waht better time to enjoy a little bit of snow and wind shovleing the walk way. Jenna is the one with goggles and Jordan is with the fur. Jayme is the frozen one to the left. Without any hands I might add. You can see Maggie in the back ground as she tries to do ther thing.

Jayme can't resist running through the snow. Still with out hands! Jordan and Jenna have taken up some warmth in the garage.

Yes, I had to try it too. But I'll tell you it took me longer to get ready to go out than I was out there. I thought I might use the four wheeler and plow but then again it was too cold even for me.

This was senoir night at the High school basketball game. It was alot of fun to walk out there with Jenna something again I never thought I would get to do with her. We are so proud of her. She sure is cute I think.

Jenna wanted a picture of the senior cheerleaders. She is right in the middle. Great group of girls. Very cute too. It has been a busy few weeks with Basketball games to go to. I thinkI'm done but Tammi may hit one more home game.
